Bettie Page was born on April 22, 1923, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a model who became famous in the 1950s for her fetish modeling and pin-up photos. She has often been called the “Queen of Pinups”.
Her look, including her jet black hair, blue eyes and trademark bangs, has influenced many artists.

After years of obscurity, she experienced a resurgence of popularity in the 1980s. This renewed attention was focused on her pinup and lingerie modeling rather than those depicting paraphilias, and she gained a certain public redemption and popular status as an icon of erotica from a bygone era.
On December 6, 2008, Bettie Page was hospitalized in critical condition, she had suffered a heart attack. She was in a coma, and her family eventually agreed to discontinue life support.
